Import the workspaces

You import workspaces into Oracle Service Cloud to display social media data.

Before you begin

You import the workspaces that you downloaded from GitHub. The workspace definitions are in the social/cx/imports/workspace directory.

Procedure

  1. Click Configuration on the navigation pane.
  2. Double-click Workspaces under Application Appearance.
    The Workspaces explorer opens on the content pane.
  3. Click New on the ribbon.
    If workflows are enabled, the button will be labeled New Workspace.
    The New Workspace window opens.
  4. Click Import Workspace from an Exported Workspace File under Start With an Existing Workspace to open the Import Workspace wizard.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click Browse to select the SRM_IncidentWorkspace.xml file within the social/cx/imports/workspace directory, and then click Next.
  7. In the Workspace Type window, confirm that the workspace is mapped to the Incident type, then click Next.
  8. In the Record Types window, click Next.
  9. Click Finish.
    The workspace is imported and displayed in the New Workspace window.
  10. Click Save, and save the workspace as SRM_IncidentWorkspace.
  11. Repeat steps 3 through 10 for the SRM_ContactWorkspace.xml workspace.

What to do next

You must associate imported reports with the new workspaces.
