Login

You set the server URL, then log in to the mobile application.

About this task

For demonstration purposes, the mobile application uses basic authorization. However, we recommend using OAuth authorization with the November 2016 release. For more information on using OAuth authorization in MAF applications, refer to Developing Mobile Applications with Oracle Mobile Application Framework.

Procedure

Launch the Oracle Service Cloud mobile application from your device.
The splash screen appears, then the Start screen.
Tap Settings.
The Settings screen appears.

Note: You can set the Server URL preference in Oracle JDeveloper. For more information on setting preferences, refer to .
Enter the URL for the mobile application server, for example:
```
https://my_mobile_site.example.com
```
Note: If the app cannot connect to the server, you will have to close the app and relaunch it, then retry or update the server settings.
Tap Save.
The app returns to the Start screen.
Tap Login.
The Login screen appears.
Enter your user name and password.
Select Remember User Name if you wish to use the same login repeatedly.
Tap Sign In.

Results

The Dashboard appears.
