Mobile Accelerator software requirements

Table 1 shows the software required for creating and deploying mobile applications for Oracle Service Cloud.

Oracle Mobile Application Framework	2.3.0	Oracle JDeveloper extension used for creating mobile applications. Refer to Oracle Mobile Application Framework 2.3.0 Certification Matrix for more information. Note: To use Oracle Mobile Application Framework, you must have a license for Oracle Mobile Cloud Service. The mobile application documented in this guide was created for demonstration purposes, with minimal external dependencies. It is recommended that in a production environment you use Oracle Mobile Cloud Service for device registration and push notifications.
Oracle Mobile Cloud Service	16.4.1 (V3.0)	Required for using Oracle Mobile Application Framework. Refer to Oracle Mobile Cloud Service for more information.
Oracle Service Cloud	May 2016 and later	Minimum version required for Mobile Accelerator. Refer to Oracle Service Cloud User Guide for more information.
Connect REST API	May 2016 and later	Required by the Mobile Accelerator for integration with Oracle Service Cloud. Uses basic authentication. Refer to REST API for Oracle Service Cloud for more information. Note: Connect REST API requires Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 or higher for secure communications with Oracle Service Cloud. TLS support can vary among device manufacturers and models. The implementation team publishing an application should make sure that their device and operating system matrix testing meet the needs of their target audience.
Oracle JDeveloper Studio	12c (12.2.1)	Used for creating and deploying Java applications. Installation includes Java SE Development Kit 8.
Java SE Development Kit 8	1.8.0_nn	Required for Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Mobile Application Framework.

Apple iOS software	9.0 and higher (development) 8.0 and higher (runtime)	Refer to Oracle Mobile Application Framework 2.3.0 Certification Matrix for more information.
Apple Xcode and iOS SDK	7.2 and higher	Development tools used to build applications for Apple devices. Version 7.3.1 is required for Apple iOS 9. Refer toSetting Up Development Tools for the iOS Platform in Installing Mobile Application Framework for more information.
