You can do that either by using AMX or something else based on GlassFish version. What GF version do you use?
AMX is the API to get the list of applications that in v2 is used by the admin tools themselves.
In v3, you can use the API in the form of @Configured interfaces, but that's a bit more involved. See Dev Guide for AMX.
