I've just attached a diff file with a possible solution to the RFE
https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6212

I do not know whether there is a feature freeze for v3 already or whether
patches for RFEs are still possible to include.

In case that patches are still allowed and that the diff would be reviewed
positively I would commit the changes.
