Gestures
Users can interact with the AR application using the following multi-touch gestures on an iPad.
- One-finger tap the model or model parts to select the item. The item will be outlined to indicate that it is selected, and HUD buttons for various functions will appear.
- Pinch in and out to change the size of the model. This allows for scaling corrections to match the digital twin to the physical item.
- Rotate two or more fingers to move the selected object in a rotating motion. The object will rotate back to its original orientation when you release your fingers.
- Three-finger single-tap the primary asset to pull the parts out of the main object shell. The parts will then be interactive. You can three-finger tap the primary model to move the parts to their original position or use the following gesture.
- Long-press a part until it turns yellow, and then drag it away from the other parts. Note that your finger gesture is a two-dimensional gesture on a 3- dimensional plane. The pump parts are confined to moving on a single axis to prevent them from moving out of sight accidentally.
At this point, the AR accelerator project is complete and you should be able to interact with the demo using the interaction methods described above.
