I have the same problem... Have you found a solution? I need manytoone lazy relations, but using static weaving fails on an exception like your and dynamic weaving is not working good for remotely runned client (to server are returned empty "manytoone lazy entities" - all attributes are set to null, other entities are correct). I use Glassfish 2.1.1, Netbeans 6.7.1, Eclipselink 2.0.0, the project is an enterprise application with EJB module and swing client runned using java web start.
