I guess,
jdbc/PostgreSQL/appclient
jdbc/PostgreSQL/adminclient
are your jdbc resources.
It can be seen in Resources > JDBC > JDBC Resources of admin GUI.
Also, lookup should work fine.
Could you post the code snippet that is doing the lookup ?
What type of application / component (ejb / web ) ?
