[jsr338-experts] Mailing list logistics for JSR 338

We're now live as the jpa-spec java.net project, http://java.net/projects/jpa-spec/

There are 2 mailing lists for the project:

     jsr338-experts_at_jpa-spec.java.net

     users_at_jpa-spec.java.net

The jsr338-experts list is the list that we will use for our expert
group work.

The users list is the list for java.net members who wish to be
observers of our work or who wish to use the list to interact among
themselves (and with us) to discuss JPA spec-related items. The users
list serves as a "reflector" of the jsr338-experts list -- i.e.,
users_at_jpa-spec.java.net is a member of jsr338-experts_at_jpa-spec.java.net,
so that users can directly receive emails posted to the jsr338-experts list.

Both lists are archived as part of the jpa-spec project.

If there are members of your company who wish to be "lurkers" to our
expert group email, they should be urged to subscribe to the users
email list or to view the activity on our list through the archives.
To be able to do either one, they will first need to become java.net
members. This can be done at https://java.net/people/new

We also have a JCP-provided expert group mailing list, namely
jsr-338-eg_at_jcp.org. I/we will be using this JCP mailing list only
for communications which are explicitly intended to be restricted
to expert group members. For example, I will use this list to
post conference call phone numbers and conference ids.
Conference call agendas, minutes, and follow-ups, however, should
be sent to the jsr338-experts_at_jpa-spec.java.net, as should all
technical discussion.

Please make sure that the email address you have for both of these
lists is the one which you want to use to post as well as receive
expert group messages.

In the past, it has been helpful to channel outside feedback directly
to the expert group and I have previously set up mailing lists to
facilitate this. This time we don't have exactly the same capability.
People who wish to send feedback can either post according to the
directions on the JCP site (which now, at least for the interim,
unfortunately directs only to me) or join our project as observers
and post to the users list.

thanks,

Linda
