well of course i have a MAVEN2_HOME/conf/settings.xml....
which references my teams' shared maven2 repository
and that's where i put the jaxb-2.1.4 jars&poms i'm using.
i can send you the jars i use, if you wanna try dropping 'em in your .m2.
