Next spec release is PR and it's planned for Dec 30th. Vacation week most likely, so I'll have to push the release a week or two into January.
I'd like to provide a summary of the topics planned for this release, with tentative completion dates:
- Hypermedia: Discussion already started, will provide more details on some enhancements next week. (12/3)
- JSR 330 Integration: Also started, we need to close down on what will be supported. (12/17)
- Pre-Matching filters and exceptions in filter chains: Issues filed, will provide details next week. (12/3)
- Relative links: Some discussions, but not much support. (12/17)
- MVC: No discussions yet. After chatting with a lot of people at Javaone and internally, the majority feels it may be too early for JAX-RS to standardize anything this area. We'll need to start a discussion soon.
- JIRA issues.
Other topics? Let's try to focus on these topics for the next 8 weeks. Looking forward to it.
