You should be able to clean up everything under glassfishv3/.org.opensolaris,pkg/pkg/download directory which is probably the greatest culprit. This contains cached package content used during update installations and it is not required for day-to-day functioning or future updates.

Subject: cleanup glassfish v3 installation?
Folks;
after updating from 3.0 across several interim steps to 3.1.2.2, I
noticed our glassfish installation folder has grown in size, being
approximately 500 megs without any applications and with osgi-cache, log
and "generated" folders cleaned. For what I see, there's still an
astounding load of stuff living in
glassfishv3/.org.opensolaris,pkg/pkg/ ,
but I am unsure what of the things in there is required to keep the
server running and updateable. So, is there a clean way of getting rid
of anything un-needed in there and strip down the server a bit?
TIA and all the best,
Kristian
