I'm having the same problem with Glassfish 3.1.1 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
running JDK 1.6.0_27 *64*-bit.
Another issue is that neither the installer nor the uninstaller for that
version could find the JRE/JDK on Windows 7.
Another issue with 3.1.1 on Windows XP is that it doesn't create anything in
the Start menu.
At this point I'm inclined to uninstall 3.1.1 from both of my systems and
reinstall 3.0.1. (And stay away from Glassfish's own update tool until this
issue is resolved).
