I just got it fixed with a complete reinstallation of NetBeans and Glassfish.
Since it worked right out of the box on a colleages' box, I remembered having
upgraded from NB 6.9.1 to 7.0. I completely erased NB and GF and now it works
all fine.
BTW: this was the same on my Mac, here I had also upgraded NB and GF from
previous versions.
