I think I have fixed the issue. I uploaded my version to
http://github.com/domdorn/resin/tree/0003711-fix
and commented in the bug. It would be nice if you could try it on your
system, on mine it works without problems.

simply do
ant clean
ant

and copy lib/resin-kernel.jar and lib/quercus.jar to your WEB-INF/lib/
folder.
