I tried with jdk 1.6.0_17 and 1.6.0_18. Installing into "program files\java" and "C:\java" (regarding the blank spaces). I also tried the sun version of the installer, without success.
Please, could you try do this installation and report the result? It is not necessary go to the finish, only until the setup screen, because here the installer crashes before this.
