Hmm, my default setup is not exactly as you describe. I'm running version 2.1, are you maybe talking about version 3 ?
In my setup, there is one user defined in the admin-realm but it's name is admin (group = asadmin). I tried setting it's password but I still don't get to log in and can't log out (there is a Logout button and pressing it pops up a confirmation window but after accepting it I just end up in the Home screen of the admin console).
I added another user with a password but still no luck.
