Which JDK are you using? We saw an issue with using JDK 5 on the trunk. https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6452
I saw the same browser spinning on the Configure Monitor page and then it didn't get saved. When I switched to JDK6 it worked fine. The issue was that no configuration changes were getting saved to the domain.xml.
