Re: Application Client Login Questions

Hi Tim,

Following your suggestion, I passed the follow URL to my browser:

http://localhost:8080/FakePA/FakePA-app-client?prop=NumberOfLoginRetries=3

and it indeed allows me to try login 3 times before an exception is thrown. From Issue 2310, I guess, as of now, there is no way to differentiate "canceled login" from "invalid login".

I apologize ahead of time for repeating my question here again...

If I choose to use JNDI-lookups in my application client, it seems like my application client would be equivalent to a "stand-alone app + Java Web Start". Are there other benefits in writing application client instead of stand-alone app that I'm missing?

Thanks.

Ben
