Ok, found the jar file, so that's good.
Found default--web.xml and added xml snippet, also added the servlet-mapping snippet.
But, both ie and firefox still don't know what to do with the file, a save/open dialog appears, and when I open it with a browser it's not parsed (html not parsed and also the <!--#include --> statements are still intact.
Amazing as it seems, my computer actually hates me...
