no those classes are there, because the web container run with them :-)
They are under ${glassfih.home}/lib/appserv-rt.jar :-)

Yes they are. Which build are you using? In any case, can you add the
ssi servlet XML fragment description in:
${glassfish.home}/domains/domain1/config/default-web.xml
Restart Glassfish, redeploy and it will works (just tested it :-))
