No, GF contains an update tool ($GF_HOME/updatecenter/bin/updatetool)
which takes you to the Update center and there you can choose which
component to add to your server. The only difference is that you get
only FCS versions or the first releases of components from there (ie. AM
7.1, SWDP R1,...). If you want to use more up to date components (ie AM
7.1_01 eaX, SWDP R2,...) you have to use application platform SDK or
install these components manually somehow - I saw some description of
this process somewhere in developers section of openESB project some
time ago.
