I thought the wsdl was what you gave to clients so they can consume your web service. Wouldn't they need to get correct address so they can consume your web service? If the machine that executes the web service is renamed, wouldn't clients that "knew" the services was at w.x.y.z still expect the service to be at that location?

I think this just the way they work....
