Thank you for considering GlassFish among your choices.
Its indeed very encouraging to see more adoption of GlassFish and
particularly so when the product meets or exceeds your expectations.

GlassFish v2 is close to a beta update this week and is slated for final
release around mid-September (17th is the date at this point). At this
point, it is feature complete and developers are busy addressing issues
raised by the community and our own quality engineers, before it goes
final.
This document captures our release plan :

If you could share the nature of this deployment at the startup with
more details, we should able to help you direct your attention to areas
in the product that will address those needs.

Cheers
Shreedhar

I typically use JBoss because I've found it to be less of a moving target but have used Glassfish in the past...and there are several things I really like about it as well.

Will it be final sometime early within my timeframe? Is it feature complete? What should I be considering? I've been looking at JBoss 5.0 as well because it is in beta stage right now...but I've been unable to get any idea when 5.0 might be final for them....and many serious issues remain.
