whether i specify LockModeType.READ or LockModeType.WRITE, the situation
is the same...many update sql generated (update version field only)..

   i guess it is the way toplink essentials to lock the underlying database record
by updating a record field to lock the object (database's ability to prevent dirty read)..


   any other suggestion?
