Actually you don't need to use SpringBook (and Rails 2.0) to work on
(only) this issue. Just try to deploy any simple JRoR app with Root
context and you will figure out what I want.

P.S. If you are interested in SpringBook, SpringBook 3.0 is what I
recommend.
