Not sure I understand your question. However, if you are asking why we
provided a CLI command to start the network server, this is more of an
Ease of Use feature for running the samples that are available to
demonstrate the technologies supported by the AppServer.

The scripts for starting the NetworkServer are also provided if people
prefer that mechanism as well.

Was the benefit of attaching Apache Derby with an Application server
verses Apache Derby being a stand alone Network Server.
