Creating Direct-to-Field Mappings

Use this procedure to create a CMP direct-to-field mapping.

To Create a Direct-to-Field Mapping:

1. In the Structure window, select the attribute to be mapped.
   • If the attribute is unmapped, the TopLink Mapping editor displays the available mappings. Select Direct-to-Field and click Map As.
   • If the attribute is currently mapped, either click the Map As button in the Structure toolbar and choose Direct-to-Field or right click the attribute, then choose Map As | Direct-to-Field.

     The Direct-to-Field Mapping - General tab appears in the TopLink Mapping editor.

2. Enter the necessary information to complete the mapping.

Select the Use Default Value When Database Field is Null option to specify a default Type and Value to use if the database field is null.
