JDeveloper offers improved source control support for CVS, Oracle SCM, ClearCase, and WebDAV, as well as an improved extension API to support other source control tools. The Compare, Version Tree, History, and Merge tools have been redesigned to simplify the management of large application development projects.

These features provide support for team-based development:

• A new, dynamically updated Uncommitted Files window displays a list of files that need to be committed

• A redesigned version history displays the history of files under version control

• Redesigned merge and diffing tools enable you to view and highlight version differences

• Integrated Oracle WebDAV support out-of-the-box

• Improved and consistent UI for out-of-the box supported source control software: CVS, Oracle SCM, and ClearCase

• Tighter integration between IDE and SCM Framework APIs for better integration with other third party source control systems

• CVS Connection Browser, CVS server, and local connections expand to display modules, folders, and files in the repository
