Hiding and Showing Empty Named Children

To hide or show empty named children in the UIX Visual Editor:

• In the UIX Visual Editor of the desired file, choose Design | Show Empty Named Children to toggle between hiding and showing all the empty named children boxes.

Notes:

• The icon at the bottom right corner of the UIX Visual Editor also lets you toggle the display of all empty named children.
• To hide one empty named child in the UIX Visual Editor, right-click the box and select Hide <name> Named Child from the context menu.

To hide or show empty named children in the Design Structure Window:

• In the Design Structure Window of the desired file, right-click a named child folder icon (e.g., ) and select Hide <name> Named Child or Show <name> Named Child to toggle between hiding and showing the empty named child. If the named child contains a child component, it cannot be toggled.

To change child visibility for a parent component:

• Right-click the parent component of the named children (e.g., pageLayout), select Change Child Visibility , and then select the named child that you want to hide or show. A check mark next to a named child means that named child is currently visible. Named children that are disabled means they contain child components and cannot be toggled on and off.
