Hiding and Showing Empty Named Children
To hide or show empty named children in the UIX Visual Editor:

In the UIX Visual Editor of the desired file, choose
Design | Show Empty Named Children to toggle between hiding and showing
all the empty named children boxes.
Notes:
-
The
icon at the bottom right corner of the UIX Visual Editor also lets you toggle
the display of all empty named children.

To hide one empty named child in the UIX Visual Editor, right-click
the box and select Hide <name> Named Child
from the context menu.
To hide or show empty named children in the Design Structure Window:

In the Design Structure Window of the desired file, right-click a
named child folder icon (e.g.,
) and select Hide <name> Named Child or
Show <name> Named Child to toggle between hiding and showing the
empty named child. If the named child contains a child component, it
cannot be toggled.
To change child visibility for a parent component:

Right-click the parent component of the named children (e.g.,
pageLayout), select Change Child Visibility
, and then select the named child that you want to hide or show. A
check mark next to a named child means that named child is currently
visible. Named children that are disabled means they contain child
components and cannot be toggled on and off.
