About Customizing the UIX Visual Editor Environment

JDeveloper provides a customizable UIX XML page editing enviroment. You can control the editing environment in the following areas:

Show hide empty named children
Show expert items
Show design time messages in log
Show HTML components in context menu and Component Palette

Use the Preferences dialog to change the UIX Visual Editor environment. Choose Tools | Preferences from the main menu and select the UIX Visual Editor node. Then select the options as appropriate. For more information, press F1 or click Help from within the dialog page.

After setting your preferences you can toggle the display of empty named children and design time messages on and off when you are working in the Visual Editor. From the main menu choose Desig n | Show and select Show Empty Named Children or Show Design Time Messages In L og.
