Inserting a MessageLayout

Note: The messageLayout component replaces inlineMessage, which has been deprecated.

To insert a messageLayout component:

In the Design Structure Window of the desired file, locate the node in which you wish to insert a messageLayout component.
In the Component Palette, select Layout Components from the dropdown list, and then drag and drop the messageLayout component to the parent node of your choice.
The messageLayout node is inserted and highlighted under the expanded parent node.
In the Property Inspector, set the following attributes for the messageLayout component:
- prompt - Enter the prompt text that displays before the text field.
To insert any indexed child component into messageLayout, do the following:
1. In the Component Palette, drag and drop any component to the messageLayout node in the Design Structure Window (e.g., messageChoice).
2. In the Property Inspector, set the attributes for the child component you inserted.
