Setting the Message Attributes for a Message Form Component

Note: The messageBox, messagePrompt, and messageText components do not support all of the message attributes.

To set the message attributes for a message form component:

In the Design Structure Window of the desired file, select the desired message form component node (e.g., messageTextInput).
In the Property Inspector, set the following message attributes for the component:
- anchor - Enter the name of an anchor tag that uniquely identifies the message form component across a single page. The destinations of links in a messageBox component would reference this anchor.
- longDescURL - Enter the URL to a page with more information about the message.
- message - Enter the error, warning, or informational text.
- messageType - Select the type of the message. Available options are: "error", "warning", "info", and "none". Default is "none".
- targetFrame - Enter the target frame for the component, if any.
- tip - Enter the tip text associated with the component.

Note: When you create or edit a message form component, the Property Inspector shows a complete list of the supported attributes. A message form component also supports special attributes that determine the behavior of the component. These attributes are described in the procedural topic for the component, e.g., the procedural topic "Inserting a MessageCheckBox" describes the special checked attribute for a messageCheckBox component.
