Adding View Object Instances to the Data Model

You can add view object instances to the data model, either as independent instances or in master-detail relationships, using either the modeler or the Application Module Editor. For more information about view object instances, see About View Object and View Link Instances.

To add view object instances to the data model using the Application Module Editor:

  1. In the System or Application Navigator, right-click your application module and choose E dit.
  2. Select the Application Modules node. If you need further assistance, click H elp.

To add view object instances to the data model using an Oracle ADF Business Components diagram:

  1. Select the application module on the diagram in which you want to create the view object instance.
  2. Choose Model | View As | Expanded.
  3. Click the View Object Instance View Object Instance icon  icon on the Oracle ADF Business Components Component Palette for the diagram then click in the expanded application module on the diagram. For more information, see Creating Internal Nodes on a Diagram Element.

    OR

    Drag a view object from the navigator, or elsewhere on the diagram, and drop it on the expanded application module to create a view object instance.
