Be that as it may, I have been unable to persuade Vincent that an API
modification is needed. At this point I recommend we accept the present
API and proceed with the next phase: having a conference call with the
interested stakeholders to help define the API for the backport.

I have asked Vincent, who is in Dublin Ireland, for some prospective
good timeslots and I will conduct a Doodle poll here when he gets back
to me so we can pick a time. I am sensitive to the need to give
Australia primacy in the timeslot selection.

Sincerely,

Ed Burns
