That reminds me of a pattern I saw in the JAX-WS reference
implementation:
        
        public <T> T getSPI(java.lang.Class<T> spiType)

        i.e. Container.getSPI(ResourceDispatcher.class)

Is it similar to what you envision, Dhanji?
