Julian,

It doesn't have much surface area (but then neither did Slug in APP
until we started to deal with encoding etc). Could we:

  - nudge Joe, or contribute
  - define the syntax here

what do you think? It seems valuable for the JSR we have something
solid/stable to depend on.
