I don't see anything wrong with your test script. So it really seems
like an RI bug. But something doesn't fit together --- like if the RI is
ignoring namespace URIs, then why doesn't it report an error when it
sees the start of the element, not the end of the element.

But judging from the fact that I'm not seeing it anymore, I'd
tentatively conclude that it's fixed...

I'll try to run it through 1.0, so give me some time.

I do receive them, too. Apparently a recent subscriber has a wrong
forwarding set up on his end, which seems to upset the listserv. I think
we are working on resolving it. Meanwhile, sorry for the inconvenience
