Hi Ram,

Document/literal support in JAX-RPC and associated tools (wscompile) is
available since the first version of Java Web Services Developer Pack
(dated Jun 2002). Over a period of time, the doc/literal support has
matured in the JAX-RPC tools and the support is much more extensive in
the latest version of the tools available as part of Java Web Services
Developer Pack 1.1 (Feb 2003). You can download this version of the pack
at http://java.sun.com/webservices/webservicespack.html.

This tool (wscompile) allows you to create Java artifacts from WSDL and
vice-versa and it is indeed quite "seamless" now :-) The client and
server programming models is identical to when starting from a
rpc/encoded WSDL.

Thanks for your interest in JAX-RPC.

Regards,
-Arun
