If your willing to spend the money, IntelliJ is not bad at all. Oracle JDeveloper if you want to use ADF Faces and/or the ADF framework. I use Netbeans - stay away from any of the version 6 builds or milestones - version 5.5.1 works really well. I don't use Eclipse, so I can't make a call there. Why does it have to be drag & drop, the API isn't that hard and you can do some really great things with JSF View with a good understanding of the JSF Lifecycle and events. My $.02. If it's just a time issue, Java Studio Creator isn't that bad, you just need to go through the tutorials and make sure you check your code once in awhile on Glassfish. --Todd ________________________________ From: DanglingChap [mailto:blackishbubble@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2007 5:58 AM To: users@javaserverfaces.dev.java.net Subject: Which IDE is best for JSF Hi, I need to make up an already created project of ASP.NET in JSF. The earlier project was already at some stage so i have to take this new implementation to that point a.s.a.p. Besides all that configuration stuff and other things. I need to have some really cool JSF IDE which support visual design (drag and drop). Right now the only choice i have is Java Studio Creator, but don't know why i am not feeling comfortable with this decision. Is there any other Good IDE or plugins for ECLIPSE or MyEclipse? I may be looking forward for MyFaces, facelets implementation as well but it will be in later stages. Suggest me some good IDE. Again, I need some IDE with DRAG AND DROP support at PAGE LEVEL. ________________________________ View this message in context: Which IDE is best for JSF <http://www.nabble.com/Which-IDE-is-best-for-JSF-tf4304474.html#a1225246 4> Sent from the javaserverfaces users mailing list archive <http://www.nabble.com/javaserverfaces-users-f16590.html> at Nabble.com. ----------------------------------------- NOTICE: This email message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
