I am trying to deploy a webservices project built with Netbeans 7.2. The
project builds and can be deployed locally and to a remote DEV environment.
When I move the war file to a test environment the deployment fails. A
separate instance of Glassfish3.1.1 is being used in all environments. I do
not have the rights to update glassfish. I have verified that the java
version (1.6.0_31) is the same in all environments. The final error message
is Error occurred during deployment: Exception while loading the app :
java.lang.IllegalStateException: ContainerBase.addChild: start:
org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Servlet
web service endpoint '' failure. Please see server.log for more details.
Looking at the logs the first error is an AbstractMethodError I have tried
placing the jsr109-impl.jar (it contains the WsUtil class) into the
domain1/lib/applibs directory in hopes that the path was pointing to an older
