Automatic recovery wasn't enabled. I've enabled it now and will restart
shortly to monitor if it improves things. At the minute we are getting a new
extend file every 10min or so. This doesn't explain why upgrading glassfish
has caused this problem if as you say the transaction code hasn't changed?
