I'd like to profile my JSF app run on Glassfish 3.0.1. As described in
http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/651810/?srch=Glassfish+TPTP#msg_651810
to be able to use Eclipse TPTP profiler with Glassfish one needs to define
profiler on Glassfish and then connect to running Glassfish instance from
Eclipse (through new "Attach to Agent" profile configuration).
I've configured Glassfish using standard admin GUI at Configuration->JVM
Settings -> Profiler (tab). I've set up following values:
Profiler Name: EclipseTPTP
Status: Enabled
Classpath:
D:\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.jvmti.runtime_4.6.3.v201102041710\profiler.jar
Native Library Path:
D:\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.jvmti.runtime_4.6.3.v201102041710\agent_files\win_ia32
JVMOption:
-agentlib:D:\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.jvmti.runtime_4.6.3.v201102041710\agent_files\win_ia32\JPIBootLoader=JPIAgent:server=enabled,api=true;CGProf:execdetails=true
I can startup Glassfish but then during connection from Eclipse (New "Attach
to Agent" profile configuration, Agents (tab)) I cannot see any agents
registered with my Agent Controller. BTW I've tested that Agent Controller is
available.
I suppose the problem is related to Glassfish configuration which causes that
during GF startup it does not register Agent in Agent Controller.
Has anybody configured TPTP profiler with Glassfish. I would appreciate any
help.
