It's a different deployment path for a stand-alone module with libs and an
ear. In a stand-alone case, persistence.xml should be part of the
EJB module. Try adding a dummy EJB jar to your path, and an ear will be
created in the background (don't forget to add APP_NAME to look up the
EJB)...
