thanks for your advises with regards to external docroot and as well
enable-secure

these 2 issues can be tagged as closed.

the next horror:

whenever we set a listiner to listen to a particular ip address rather than
0.0.0.0 the glassfish generates blank pages.

further more: in some cases the the error log indicates messages about a
problem to cast the context root.

further more: new jks keystores for various ssl-certs that worked under Sun
SGESv3 are honored with error messages.

further more: if you click on 'Applications', than on a deployed app and
check 'Enabled' and choose a particular

virtual host below, it responses with successfully saved the values, but it
then shows the old settings.

I am sorry to highlight this, but it appears that since Oracle is involved
the new glassfish 3.1. became far

from being considered for a professional environment. there are more bugs
than have ever been under Sun's

Version.

Is there a chance to find step by step manuals how to import SSL-Certs
involving pkcs12import.jar and as well how

to setup a ssl-secured virtual host where requests on port 80 are
automatically redirected to 443?

Thanks for your help and patience.
