First of all, this particular update does not affect your installation if you already have GlassFish 3.0.1 installation - this only fixed particular package dependency definition so that updates from v3 to 3.0.1 work as expected and did not deliver any new/updated files so you are not missing anything right now :-)
That being said, updates in closed network can be done using closed network repository content download as documented in this section of Admin Guide:

Closed network repository download bundles used to be available via sunsolve.sun.com and are now moved somewhere under support.oracle.com so you may need to have support account in order to get them.
Your mirror approach should also work, but the official supported procedure for closed network updates is the one referenced above.

Subject: How can one update GFv3 manually?
I need to update GFv3 manually in an environment where there is no external network access. The update tool (on mirror system that does have net) tells me the following update is available and I am wondering where I can download the file(s) from and what is the best way to deploy them manually. I was thinking I could make a copy of my GFV3_HOME and then run the update tool on the mirror and diff the files to create the patch set then copy those by hand into the other installation and clean out the osgi cache directory. Is there a better way? Thanks,
