Hi,
In the past, I ave tried to uninstall app servers, it would leave some dir behind. So
if I tried to install another using the same port number, I get port issues. But, I guess
the port numbers are always occupied if it has been taken already.
I have some old servers on the same PC which I need to take off my PC, once uninstalled,
can't I reuse the old port numbers? Or the safest way is to uninstall and
check ports available and then install a fresher new?
thanks
eve

Eve,
If you have enough resources available on the machine I would not see a problem
in doing so. Why would you think it to be a bad idea ?

I can see that I mistakable installed my new glassfish 3.1 beta without
installing it on the correct port. I installed it on a port being used by another
older server. I would like to restall my new server into a new port. It this
a good idea?
Thanks
