a) No, I don't know if it is possible to hook into @Resource injection framework.
b) Are you saying if you have a separate bundle containing entity classes and persistence.xml, that jar is not getting enhanced when you install it? AFAIK, that should happen, but we currently only support EclipseLink as the provider. What I am yet to do is to make sure the persistence unit is discovered by the container while processing @PersistenceContext or @PersistenceUnit. It has been in my TODO list for a while now.
