In that case, the code and .xml look fine. Have you consulted the WebLogic documentation to see how to map the logical resource dependency to a physical data source within their product? Typically the resource-ref is mapped to the global JNDI name of a data source using a vendor-specific .xml file. In GlassFish, that's done via sun-web.xml, sun-ejb-jar.xml, etc.
