Very strange, I've did that about 5 times. However just created it again. I also checked the domains.xml, and for some reason it didn't add the jdbc connection-pool to domains.xml again.
But I just gave my jsf and bean a try and they were able to connect to the datasource.
My assumption is that there was a user error (my problem) in typing in the specified properties.
